                         DON'T MISS

THIS SPRING, SUMMER AND FALL

ART WORKSHOPS that celebrate the diverse talent of

artist Ross Ward

AT

TINKERTOWN

MUSEUM

IN SANDIA PARK

June 21st :

Printmaking

Relief printmaking:

Ross Ward was,

not surprisingly, a prolific printmaker. Many of his linocuts and etchings are part of the permanent collection at Tinkertown.  Participants will create a relief print using an easy-cut 6 X 8 plate to carve an image into.

Prints will be pulled on quality printing paper. Cost: $50.00

August 2nd:

  Assemblage

Without a doubt, Tinkertown itself is one big assemblage!  With 2 D and 3 D art elements making up walls, ceilings, mini-worlds and rooms.  The entire space is an interactive art experience created by Ross Ward while many of us “were watching T.V.”.

Participants will create art using collage, paint and 3D objects (both old and new).  This workshop is open-ended and fun. Come play with “stuff” and let your imagination speak for itself!

Cost: 50.00

  October 4th :

Figurative

Sculpture

Much of the art created at Tinkertown was hand carved wood sculpture and the setting was constructed to fit the many characters.  Participants will use an 8” mannequin & an air-dry clay to sculpt a character from your life- real or imaginative -oh- maybe a  family member or that boss from years ago.

For those of us who love the third dimension, this workshop is for you.    Cost: $65.00

All workshops at Tinkertown are limited to 9 participants.

All materials and refreshments provided.

Adults only!

We start at 5:00.

Includes tour of Ross Ward’s private studio.
