PARTICIPANTS WILL EXPLORE ARTMAKING
USING ACRYLIC PAINTS AND SOME REALLY
FUN PAPER VISUALS. THE CLASS WILL
FOCUS ON COLLAGE TECHNIQUES AND
VISUAL BALANCE WITHIN A COMPOSITION.

LINO-COLLAGE PRINTMAKING

This workshop is for beginner printmakers and for
people already familiar with relief printing. The relief
process is one where lines are carved into a surface
(matrix). A lino-cut it is just that, using a linoleum
matrix. The raised surface is inked and printed on rag
paper. Saturday students will develop an image, trace
that image onto the surface and carve out the negative areas. What’s new on this old theme: adding collage to our prints! Papers can be added before printing- thus
making a Chin Colle! Oh, what fun it is! On Sunday
we will "pull" our collage prints. This is a hands-on
fun workshop with support from beginning to the end!
ArtSpaceEast uses non-toxic Akua ink for printing.
Suitable for students 16 and older
All supplies included. $100.00 pay at event- limited to
three students.

HOLIDAY CARDS: Sat/Sun
November 28th and 29th @ 2:00
During this session participants will learn relief
printing as we carve an image onto an easy-cut
rubber matrix. Printing with non-toxic inks, you
will edition and hand pull 12 cards in the
theme/image individualized for you. There will
be examples or you are welcome to bring an
image to work from. Color options for images are
fun and easy. Paper and envelopes are high
quality paper. This is your chance to make your
card stand out -from others!
Open to 4 participants.
