COLLAGE!

Sunday April 14th @ 2:00

Come explore MIXED MEDIA collage techniques while having

a fun time playing with color and paper. A still life theme will

start our creative vibes- but let the materials see where your

image ends. Participants with enjoy working with acrylic

paints, adding paper (collage), stamping and printing onto

a 16 X 20 “ canvas board. $40.00, All materials included; Pay

at event. Class limited to 5 Adults/teens.

Chinese Brush Painting

Wednesday April 3rd @ 6:00

When it comes to relaxing and enjoying a quiet creative time, Chinese brush painting is for you. With a bamboo brush and Sumi ink we will learn the bamboo stroke and begin to practice pulling and applying light pressure with our brush. Participants will paint bamboo stalks and twigs- a bird can be added to our design. This is an enjoyable and beautiful approach to painting. $25.oo pay at event

FLOWER OF LIFE- MANDALA with Rosey Poling

Sunday April 7th @ 2:00

Usher in the Spring from within during this mulit-media art adventure.

Using the Mandala to express our unique path in the world participants will learn the basic structure of a Mandala, tips on color theory and instruction of the materials provided. Each individual artwork will bloom on it's own giving your path a visual expression. This is a relaxing and inspiring afternoon and is limited to 5 participants, ages 16 and up. $35.00- pay at event- all materials, artistic support and refreshments included.

PRINTMAKING STUDIO: DRYPOINT / SATURDAY AND SUNDAY April 20TH AND 21ST 2:00-5:00

Learn the basics of Intaglio printmaking as we explore “DRYPOINT”; the process of Intaglio printing is a technique of incising marks into the surface of a matrix (plate). Images are drawn with repeated lines and stipple marks to create values and textures. Ink is applied with a brayer and wiped. Using damp paper and pressure of a press bed, the ink is pulled from below the surface. This technique is perfect for those who love clean marks, defined lines and controlled images. Participants are asked to bring an 8X10 drawing or photograph to reference. Students will edition 6 prints. Limited to 4 students $90.00, all supplies included- pay at event. Teens welcome
