PRINTMAKING

AT THE STUDIO:  LINOCUT!​

OCTOBER 25TH AND 26TH @ 2:00

This workshop is for beginner printmakers and for people already familiar with relief printing. The relief process is one where lines are carved into a surface (matrix). Lino-cut it is just that, using a linoleum matrix. The raised surface is inked and printed on rag paper. Saturday students will develop an image, trace that image onto the surface and carve out the negative areas. On Sunday we will "pull" an edition of prints. Options of adding a color base will be explored. This is a hands-on fun workshop with support from beginning to the end!

ArtSpaceEast uses non-toxic Akua ink for printing.
Suitable for students 16 and older
All supplies included. $100.00 pay at event- limited to 4 students.

Saturday & Sunday November 15th & 16th @ 2:00  

During this session participants will learn relief

printing as we carve an image onto an easy-cut

rubber matrix. Printing with non-toxic inks, you

will edition and hand pull 12 cards in the

theme/image individualized for you. There will

be examples or you are welcome to bring an

image to work from. Color options for images are

fun and easy. Paper and envelopes are high

quality paper. This is your chance to make your

card stand out -from others!

Open to 4 participants.

Painting WORKSHOP in DECEMBER

Sunday the 14TH @ 2:00

Take a break from the hassle of the Holiday season and come play ART! This painting workshop will feature the classic cat silhouette gazing out a window.

Relax, enjoy, paint, play and make something special for yourself this holiday season. On a 11”X14" canvas YOU'LL create with acrylic paints & paint pens. It’s the cat’s

meow of a painting session.

Guidance from beginning till end if needed.
